Why a custom runner instead of a stock size

Hallways in Kuwaiti homes vary a lot in length. A stock runner may stop short and leave a gap, or run too long and curl at the wall. A runner cut to size starts and ends exactly where you want. It also leaves an even strip of floor on both sides, which keeps the hallway looking tidy.

Cutting to size also helps with hallways that turn. Two runners can be cut to meet at the corner, instead of folding one long piece.

Choosing runner width and length

Width. Measure the hallway at its narrowest point. Leave an equal strip of floor on each side, usually 10 to 20 cm (4 to 8 in). A 1.2 m (3.9 ft) hallway suits a runner 0.8 to 1 m (2.6 to 3.3 ft) wide.

Length. Measure the full hallway, then decide where the runner starts and ends. Leave a short gap at each end so the runner clears doors and thresholds.

Doors. If a door opens over the runner, check there is enough clearance for the carpet thickness. Thicker carpet feels softer, but needs more room under the door.

Sadu runners

Sadu runners are available. Sadu is a traditional Gulf weave pattern that suits hallways, majlis rooms and house entrances. Sizes, photos and prices depend on what is in stock when you order. Send the hallway length and width on WhatsApp and we send you what fits.

How runner cost is calculated

Runner cost before installation = length × width × price per m².

Example: a hallway 1.2 m (3.9 ft) wide and 6 m (19.7 ft) long, with a runner 0.8 m (2.6 ft) wide and 5.5 m (18 ft) long. The runner is 4.4 m² (47.4 sq ft). It costs 22 KWD at 5 KWD per m², or 66 KWD at 15 KWD per m². The actual price depends on the material you choose. Installation is separate.

Where runners work well

  • Bedroom hallways: the most common use, since they are long and walked on often.
  • Beside the bed: a short runner cut to the bed length.
  • Long house entrances: a runner from the door to the living room.
  • Office corridors: cut from wall-to-wall carpet to the corridor length.

We do not sell small ready-made doormats, only runners cut to size.

  4. We cut the runner to size, install it if you want, and follow up for two days.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a carpet runner cost in Kuwait?

Runners are priced per m², from 5 to 15 KWD (0.465 to 1.394 KWD per sq ft), by thickness, pile pressure and density. Multiply length by width for the area, then by the price per m². A 0.8 × 5 m (2.6 × 16.4 ft) runner is 4 m², so it costs 20 to 60 KWD before installation.

Can you make a long hallway runner, like 15 ft or 20 ft?

Yes. We cut the runner to any length you need. 15 ft is about 4.6 m and 20 ft is about 6.1 m. Send the hallway length and width on WhatsApp, in metres or feet, and we confirm the runner width and the gap left on each side before cutting.

Do you have Sadu runners?

Yes, Sadu runners are available. Sadu is a traditional Gulf weave pattern. Send your hallway length and width on WhatsApp and we send photos, sizes and prices of what is in stock. If stock sizes do not fit, we can cut a runner to size instead.

How do I measure my hallway for a runner?

Measure the full length, and the width at the narrowest point. Check any door that opens over the runner, and the threshold height. Decide how much floor to leave showing on each side, usually 10 to 20 cm (4 to 8 in). Then send the numbers on WhatsApp.

Can I use a runner in a bedroom or a long entrance?

Yes. A runner can be cut for any long, narrow space: a bedroom corridor, beside the bed, or a long entrance. The cost works the same way: length × width × price per m². We do not sell small ready-made doormats, only runners cut to size.

Do you install hallway runners?

Yes, we install the runners we supply. Installation is priced separately from the carpet and agreed by area and location. After installation we follow up for two days to fix any installation error. We do not install carpet bought elsewhere.
